May the Shadow of the moon fall on a world in peace.
On February 26 1979, a total solar eclipse fell across the northwestern region of the continental United States, crossing parts of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana (where totality covered almost the entire state), & North Dakota,
as well as several Canadian Provinces and Greenland.
It was the last total solar eclipse to cross the United States in the 20th century.
On August 21 2017, "The Great American Eclipse" occurred,
spanning the entire continental US from Pacific to Atlantic Ocean, and crossing 13 states.
For both of these, we were not a world at peace.
